The reason I'm so supportive is...

It's very simple. I'm supportive of others because we all need a supporter besides our loving mother and beautiful kids. On top of that, it takes great courage to display your dreams and talents to a world full of critics and naysayers. My approach as a supporter is sincere and honest. While encouraging others to pursue their dreams, I also encourage them to provide quality as well. Unfortunately, it is difficult to receive support from your closest family and friends. I don't think that they don't desire to support you on your journey. I just think that they may not realize how much you value their support.

You see, the people closest to you have probably seen your act, heard your dream, or read your rough draft of your manuscript a million times. Therefore, the biggest moment in your life is just another day to them. While it can be discouraging to have to request support from your loved ones (because they're supposed to automatically support you huh?), it won't hurt for you to blatantly say: I NEED YOU TO SUPPORT ME, BECAUSE I'M REALLY SCARED BUT I WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL! If your loved ones are anything like mine, they'll probably say: Oh, okay. What's the name of your book again? How can I order it? ...And, if you're anything like I am, that'll drive you crazy because they missed the last 1000 posts you made that contains that same information.

The thing is, your #1 most important moment in YOUR life, is probably not that important them. Your moment becomes a priority to them when you let your loved ones know how much you NEED their support. Give it a try. Meanwhile, comment with a link to your social media sites, and your favorite supporter (I'm talking about myself) will follow you on those sites... Best wishes on bringing your dream to life...
